Healthcare & Hospital Roofing
A hospital roof failure means a call to Directors of Facilities and Engineering explaining what went wrong, and we build every healthcare & hospital roofing project to keep that call from happening.
Kodiak Builds Around a Facility That Never Closes
A hospital doesn’t close for roof work, and a leak above the wrong room isn’t just an inconvenience.
Kodiak Schedules Around What Can't Close
Kodiak plans healthcare roofing projects around active units, not the other way around, because a hospital's operations can't stop the way a typical building's can.
An Infection Control Risk Assessment on Every Job
Water intrusion near a sterile environment can force a unit shutdown, not just a repair call, and Kodiak's crews work under an Infection Control Risk Assessment on every occupied healthcare project.
What Healthcare Roofing Actually Covers
From new hospital construction to ongoing maintenance on an existing facility, healthcare & hospital roofing covers a wide range of needs.
New Construction Roofing
Kodiak coordinates with GCs on new hospital and medical facility builds, including projects tied to California’s seismic-safety renovation requirements.
Re-Roofing
Kodiak completes overlay and full re-roofs on active healthcare facilities without shutting down the departments below.
Preventative Maintenance
Kodiak watches for membrane wear and drainage problems on hospital roofs, specifically, since the space below often can’t tolerate any water intrusion at all.
Emergency Leak Repair
A leak above a patient care area doesn’t wait for a convenient time, and Kodiak’s response doesn’t either.
Roof Inspections
Kodiak’s inspection reports come with infrared documentation formatted to support Joint Commission compliance records, not just a walk-through and a verbal opinion.
Insulated Wall Panels
Kodiak fabricates insulated wall panels for healthcare facility exteriors, built to the same precision standard as everything else on an occupied medical campus.
Commercial Waterproofing
Below-grade utility corridors and mechanical rooms carry the same patient safety stakes as a roof leak, and Kodiak’s waterproofing scope covers both under one contract.

Healthcare Projects Built Under Real Pressure
Two recent projects show what healthcare roofing looks like when timing and precision both matter. At Carson Tahoe Medical Center in Carson City, Kodiak was called in to address existing roofing failures on an active hospital campus, where equipment and patients needed protection and timing was critical. Kodiak completed a 204,967 sq ft overlay re-roof using GAF 45-mil TPO, built to withstand water, UV, ozone, and chemical exposure for decades.
At UC Davis Medical Center’s North Hospital Addition in Sacramento, Kodiak installed ACM panels on a six-story building constructed as part of a state-mandated seismic-safety renovation, working under the same tight schedule constraints as the rest of the project team. The general contractor’s own site superintendent praised the precision of the panel installation once it was complete. Both projects required the same thing: work that holds up to scrutiny, on a timeline that doesn’t compromise patient care.

Kodiak Solar is amazing! They replaced my roof and installed solar, and now I’m paying less than I was with PG&E—how cool is that? The whole process was way easier than I expected. From the start, their team was super friendly and made everything easy to understand. The new roof looks fantastic, and the solar system is already saving me money. The crew that came out was on time, worked fast, and cleaned up after themselves—you’d never know they were even here! What really blew me away was how they handled everything. They took care of the details and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. It’s clear they really care about their customers and the quality of their work. If you’re thinking about going solar or need a new roof, you’ve gotta check out Kodiak Solar. They made the whole experience stress-free, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
