We’re one of the largest and most dependable roofers in the area, which means we are able to work on some special projects throughout the state. One of our recent projects, the new B Street Theatre in Downtown Sacramento, was a pleasure to work on. We thoroughly enjoy a good challenge and a job well done!
Check out what our team had to say about the recent project.
“After 11 years of fundraising and planning the new B-street theatre in midtown Sacramento started construction earlier this year. Kodiak had the unique opportunity to work on this special theatre in part of the city’s goal to revitalize downtown Sacramento after the addition of the new Golden One Center. This project being a theatre included many artistic elements not common for the typical Kodiak project, but this proved to be no challenge for project manager, Keith Schmidt and Foreman, Sam Cookson.
Utilizing unique materials, Kodiak worked closely with the Head Architect to fulfill his artistic vision. This included many unexpected changes such as the exposed wood ceiling in the lobby area which was to be fastened using screws but was changed at the request of the architect to fully adhered, this resulted in Kodiak being awarded season tickets to the theatre for their efforts. One of the most interesting features of the theatre is the use of Corten Rust Wall panels which oxidize over time which gives it a rustic look but also protects the metal.
The project is expected to be completed at the beginning of the year with the first shows scheduled for February.”
We’re hoping for success for all events at the new B-Street theatre, and can’t wait to use our season tickets!
